Spotify On Windows 7

My wife just bought a new laptop with Windows 7; a huge leap forward from her aging XP tower. Tonight she has been trying to install all of her programs and transfer over files. First roadblock of the night was installing Spotify. Attempting to install it with the default login that Windows 7 comes with yields the error "Please install Spotify using a normal account instead of an administrator account." Well, that's just stupid. Obviously creating a new account is the worst possible workaround.

I'm not very familiar with Windows 7 (I was on XP for the longest time before moving on to Linux and Mac), so I'm not sure if this is a fix for everyone (I know some versions of 7 offer different features), but to get Spotify working without creating a new user account, simply right-mouse click on the installer and select "Properties" and the "Compatibility." I chose Windows XP Service Pack 3 and things installed perfectly after that.

I wasn't able to find a quick solution online, so I thought I would share. Good luck.
